In America, politicans seem to begin campaigning for re-election the day after taking office.
Although some unofficial campaigning is carried out via news releases,
Korea's official campaign period is mercifully brief, from the beginning of April to the elections on the
16th or 17th.
The methods are considerably different, too. These campaigners are typical,
waving signs bearing the face of their candidate. Others dance to music blaring from a nearby
sound truck, presumably the candidate's theme song.
